System Requirements

Global Village Consulting's technical support staff can assist you with implementing GVC.SiteMaker as well as provide you with a complete turn-key solution.

If you would like to consider having Global Village Consulting (GVC) host GVC.SiteMaker on our own servers, please ignore the following requirements.

The following system requirements are needed to operate and host GVC.SiteMaker on your local servers.

1. Application Server:

Requirements: Any reasonably powered machine supporting Java 2 Runtime Environment v 1.4 with a (licensed) deployment installation of the WebObjects 5.2 Pure Java Deployment Environment
Recommendation: Requirements (above) plus Sun Solaris 5.8, minimum 300 Mhz CPU, or Apple servers running OS X 10.3, minimum power G4 400 Mhz
(Additional compatible operating systems: Win2000, NT, and Linux)

2. Database Recommendation:

Requirement: Any database with a JDBC driver
Recommendation: Frontbase, eBusiness version: high performance, secure and cost effective

3. Web Server:

Recommendation: Apache (version 1.3.29)

5. Server Space Minimum Requirement:

512MB of RAM and 1GB of HD space

6. Web Browser Recommendation:

GVC.SiteMaker v3.5 is known to produce good results using the following browsers. Note that pages may appear slightly different when using a different browser and that some will render pages faster than others.
